The Motlow College Civil War Research Center (CWRC) exists for the purpose of collecting material relating to all aspects of life in the area of southeastern Middle Tennessee, the area served by the college, from the period 1860-1866. While the usual emphasis of collections of Civil War materials is on military action, Motlow College also wishes to collect data about the impact of the war on families, churches and businesses. These electronic archives are made available by Motlow College with the support of gifts to the Motlow College Foundation. Because our materials are stored and distributed electronically, Motlow College does not possess the originals of documents on this web site. All documents loaned to the CWRC are copied, a typescript produced for use on the web, and the original is returned to the owner. For additional information about material on the site or to arrange to loan material for inclusion, please contact the CWRC director at MBradley@mscc.cc.tn.us. |
